RECONSTRUCTION FIB. 16

We are facing a larger reconstruction of the basement at Fib. 16 and some other changes in the building. Here you will find information related to the project and our rehousing.

We are creating a functional and flexible learning environment and common areas for a 100 “new” students.

The reconstruction work will begin March 2022 and the building should be at our disposal again around December 2022.

We cannot avoid noise and inconvenience and therefore a rehousing is necessary.

29.10.21 – time to find out how to arrange ourselves in PON 103

PON 103 is our “new home” from March til December 2022. We made an overview, where each group is assigned an area in the building. It is up to the groups to decide how they want to arrange themselves in the allocated space. The group coordinators have been asked to submit plans by November 15th. So now you have the opportunity to discuss it in the groups before then. Note that it is a preliminary plan for what needs to be moved to PON 103 and what you e.g. may need to make it work in the group.

Facts/scope of the situation at the present moment:

  • PON 103 is at our disposal for staff throughout 2022.
  • We cannot make any structural changes in the building.
  • The OR research group have special safety conditions that needs to be meet … good people are working on a solution.
  • Lunch/dining will take place in the FIB 14 Common Room.
  • We will have 6 meeting rooms at our disposal in PON 103 – booking via Outlook (a lot more than in FIB 16).
  • Each group is assigned an area (see overview) which they can arrange with workplaces, etc. according to their own wishes. It is up to the individual group to plan how they want to utilize the allocated space. Working from home is not the first choice.
  • We need to bring our own desks and desk chairs. We will have to limit other material and furniture to 1 moving box per. person.
  • It is possible for us to get access to FIB 16, and you can therefore go and get a book or similar from time to time. But electricity and water are closed during the conversion.
  • We will bring the coffee machines - obviously:-)

 

19.08.21 – STATUS REHOUSING: EMPLOYEES IN PON 103

- We know (approximately) when: March 2022 - December 2022.
- We now (finally) know where: employees will be placed at PON 103. Students will be placed at Frederik Bajers vej 7F during spring semester. The students might be moved to FIB 10 for the Autumn semester (time will show).
- We can now begin planning the how. We will keep you informed ...


18.06.21 - We thought we had a plan for rehousing ...

As Kjeld announced at the staff meeting June 16th we have been working on a plan for our rehousing (from March-October 2022) involving PON 103 for staff and another larger building for the students. But the building intended for students is up for sale and a possible buyer made an offer. We are now trying to come up with another solution. We still hope to be able to use PON 103 for staff … but as you know – nothing is certain but death and taxes. We will keep you informed.
